Michael Jackson Forever

I remember vividly the first time i was exposed to Michael Jackson.

I was about 10 years old and on summer break from grade school. My mother rented me a bunch of movies from the local video store to prevent my boredom.
One of those videos was Michael Jackson’s “Moonwalker”, and i have been under the spell of his magic ever since that day.

My love for Michael has undoubtedly shaped me into the man i am. I have felt his presence with me through all the milestones - My first job, my first car, my first breakup. He’s been so much more than an idol, He was my friend.

Michael Jackson Forever

What has always stood out to me as one of his most admirable traits is his strength and determination. For a large part of his life he has had the unimaginable pressure of rumors and lies and vicious attacks to ruin him, but he has always stood up tall and defiant to the negativity.

Over the past few months, Michael and his team had been working hard to create the greatest show in HIStory. This was a chance to show the world again what a spectacular entertainer he was. July 13th was to be opening night…The official ‘comeback’,

Sadly, that day will now never come, But Michael had nothing to prove. He had dedicated his life to his career. He won every award there was to win, broke every record there was to break, all the while uniting people and making the world smile.

We are all mourning a terrible, terrible loss, but MICHAEL WILL LIVE FOREVER IN THE HEARTS OF US HE TOUCHED.

Rest In Peace Michael. I love you and miss you dearly.

Michael Jackson Forever

Today, Thursday, June 25th 2009, My idol, The King Of Music, Michael Jackson died.

Millions of tears are falling, but they are falling as one because we are all connected via Michael’s spirit.

My deepest condolences go out to his family, fellow fans, and of course his three beautiful children, Prince, Paris, and Blanket.

I Love you Michael. Always and Forever.

I just saw Terminator.. here’s some thoughts.

Since i was a child, i’ve always been a big fan of the Terminator franchise.
I LOVED the original two films.. I must have seen them a million times each!

The third movie was a bit of a disappointment though… Having the Terminator wear those star shaped shades and use lines like “Talk to the Hand” made it seem like a bit of a cheap piss take of the classics that preceded it. - Not to mention, they killed off Sarah Connor, a fundamental ingredient in any good Terminator story.

So, I hadn’t really been too bothered about seeing Terminator Salvation. I knew it was not going to feature Schwarzenegger, and Sarah was long dead, AND it was to be set in 2018 - Post Judgment day. - the flashback scenes to post Judgment Day in all the other films just bored me, so the thought of seeing a whole film in that era didn’t really excite me.

But hey, it is still a Terminator film after all.. so i went.

It was much better than i was expecting. Bale played the role of John Connor very well. he was as deep and disturbed as he needed to be, and he looked the part too.

I didn’t really see the point to Kate Bruster being in it aside from the fact that she was there at the end of the last film. Her character was of no importance to the story, and the movie would have been no different had she not been in it at all.. However, she was heavily pregnant, which was not actually mentioned, Obviously to lay the foundation of John having a child in the next movie.

It was great to see Kyle Reese as a vulnerable teenaged boy, knowing what a bruised and battered soldier he will later become. And if nothing else, i think the whole point of this movie was to show Reese and Conner actually meeting. My only complaint was that they could probably have found someone who looks more like the Kyle Reese in the original 1984 film, like they did in the much missed “Sarah Connor Chronicles” TV show.

The lack of Schwarzenegger in the film was more than made up for in the scene where Connor is met with the first completed T-800 which looks exactly as we first see Arnold at the beginning of the first film, not the much older Arnold from the third film.
Apparently the role was played by an actor, but Schwarzenegger’s face was digitally applied…. Not a model of his current face though, it was a much younger face.. he looked JUST right. the effect was absolutely perfect and was the highlight of the film for me.

So anyway, i’ll definitely see it again, and if you are a fan of the Terminator franchise, or just love a film jam packed with awesome action, you should definitely catch it on the big screen.

The Curls Are Back!

Michael Jackson has been seen sporting a very familiar head of curly locks after about 10 years of those dreadful straight wigs that look to me more like a Darth Vadar helmet than a real hair-do.

Looking great Michael. looks exactly like he did almost 20 years ago.
